Japanese Language Lead (Freelance)

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality Japanese translation and revision work aligned with defined quality KPIs.
• Provide Japanese linguistic and cultural consultancy for enterprise projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis using internal tools and client platforms.
• Monitor and improve linguistic quality across assigned accounts.
• Guide linguists, monitor performance, organize training sessions, and drive team and quality management activities.

Requirements

• Native-level Japanese fluency and strong command of English.
• Proven working knowledge of CAT tools.
• Professional experience as a translator and/or proofreader for one or more large international brands.
• Previous experience as a Language Lead or in a similar role involving team and performance management.
• Ability to complete an approximately 500-word translation test.

• Subject matter expertise in tourism, IT, or healthcare.
