What you will do

• Translate academic research papers between Simplified Chinese and native English.
• Work on manuscripts covering various academic and technical fields.
• Apply language skills and subject-area expertise to support researchers publishing in prestigious journals.

Requirements

• Hold a degree in Translation or an equivalent degree with significant translation training from a recognized institution; or hold a graduate or higher degree in another field from a recognized higher-education institution plus two years of comprehensive professional translation experience; or have five years of comprehensive professional translation experience.
• Have technical expertise in the relevant subject area.
• Translate between Simplified Chinese and native English.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a foreign-language setting.
