Korean Drama Localization – KO or EN to CZ Subtitle Translator

hirify.global / TOTUS recruits freelance translators for Korean drama localization projects.

What you will do

• Translate Korean drama subtitles from Korean or English into Czech, with other target languages including Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, and Greek.
• Localize dialogue naturally while preserving tone, emotion, context, and character relationships.
• Adapt Korean cultural references and expressions for the target audience.
• Apply project guidelines, glossaries, and terminology while maintaining consistency in character voice, expressions, subtitle style, and terminology.
• Meet assigned deadlines and communicate promptly about project progress.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in the target language.
• Strong comprehension of Korean and/or English.
• Professional translation or localization experience.
• Ability to follow project guidelines and meet deadlines.
• Reliable communication and responsiveness.

Nice to have

• Experience translating Korean dramas or other Korean video content.
• Experience in subtitle or audiovisual translation.
• Experience translating dramas, movies, or other scripted video content.
• Strong understanding of Korean culture and expressions.
• Experience with MTPE.
