AWS Platform Architect

What you will do

• Lead DevSecOps architecture, automation, monitoring, testing, and CI/CD initiatives for large-scale multi-cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient platforms supporting 99.9% uptime and 24/7 availability targets for mission-critical identity, scheduling, and biometrics applications.
• Develop Terraform and AWS-native infrastructure-as-code solutions and integrate security and code-quality scanning with Checkmarx, SonarQube, NexusIQ, and Prisma Cloud.
• Apply FISMA, FedRAMP, DHS Enterprise Architecture, and NIST frameworks, including support for Team Managed Deployment and Ongoing Authorization processes.
• Enable serverless and containerized microservices using AWS Lambda, EKS, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Docker, while supporting SPA/MPA DevSecOps practices.
• Guide observability, incident response, disaster recovery, and platform innovation while collaborating with application, data, and information-security architecture leads.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience leading DevSecOps initiatives involving architecture, automation, monitoring, testing, and CI/CD pipelines for large-scale multi-cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient platforms.
• Knowledge of federal security and compliance standards, including FISMA and FedRAMP.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate or Professional certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust (EOD).

Nice to have

• Experience with the USCIS AWS service footprint, including EC2, S3, Aurora, RDS, OpenSearch, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Lambda, Kinesis, EKS, and KMS.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Harness, and Backstage.
• Experience with the DHS Enterprise Architecture Technical Reference Model and IPv6 (USGv6) compliance.
• Prior USCIS, DHS, or large federal civilian cloud platform experience.
