Senior Capture Manager (Federal/DoD)

Location: Hybrid in McLean, VA, United States; on-site every Wednesday. U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Compensation: up to USD 150,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Lead the full federal capture lifecycle for strategic pursuits across Department of Defense and Federal Civilian agencies, from qualification through proposal submission and award.
• Develop capture plans, competitive assessments, win strategies, customer engagement activities, and opportunity-shaping approaches.
• Partner with executive leadership to align capture activities with corporate growth objectives and market priorities.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate teaming arrangements with subcontractors, OEMs, and strategic partners.
• Coordinate solution architects, operations, recruiting, contracts, pricing, and proposal teams across concurrent pursuits.
• Support proposal development through win themes, solution refinement, color team reviews, oral presentations, executive briefings, and pursuit readiness tracking.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Government, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of federal capture management experience supporting DoD and/or Federal Civilian agencies.
• Demonstrated success leading captures from qualification through proposal submission and contract award.
• Experience supporting IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, task orders, and complex federal procurements.
• Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and proposal development practices.
• Experience developing teaming strategies and managing subcontractor and partner relationships.
• Ability to conduct market, customer, competitive, and procurement analysis and brief executive leadership effectively.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills, including experience managing multiple concurrent pursuits.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Army, Navy, USAF, and Federal Civilian agencies.
• APMP, Shipley, or equivalent capture/proposal certification.
• Experience supporting technical, engineering, cybersecurity, or professional services procurements.
• Established relationships within DoD and Federal Civilian organizations.
