Program Manager II (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; hybrid or in-office. Occasional travel may be required.

Estimated starting salary: $150,661.49–$207,159.55 annually, plus performance-based incentive pay.

What you will do

• Manage the integration and execution of multiple complex projects and major systems with budgets of $20M or more.
• Oversee customer relationships, technical planning, cost control, scheduling, resource planning, and program performance reporting.
• Supervise program and project staff and lead cross-functional teams to meet program requirements.
• Lead proposal activities from initial customer interaction through requirements definition, estimating, negotiation, and contract award.
• Identify, track, and mitigate financial, technical, legal, schedule, and operational risks.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, audits, research, business planning, and support for the Program Director and Business Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management, management, engineering, or a related field, or 12+ years of related experience without a degree.
• 8+ years of progressive project or program management experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• 3+ years leading medium-scale projects lasting 1–2 years and teams of at least five cross-functional members.
• Experience evaluating, preparing, reviewing, and submitting requests for proposals or quotes, as well as managing complex projects or larger programs.
• Demonstrated capability in program integration, financial management, risk control, stakeholder coordination, conflict resolution, communication, and leadership.
• Current or active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or an advanced degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, PMBOK, CMMI, agile or spiral development, and Earned Value Management.
• Experience with program management tools, data architectures, corporate processes, and ISO 9001 compliance.
