Proposal Engineer (High-Voltage Equipment)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid (remote/office)

What you will do

• Develop technical and commercial proposals for high-voltage grid technology equipment and related services.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, project management, and other teams to collect proposal data and documents.
• Assess customer requirements and questions, and address them fully in proposals and bid clarification meetings.
• Perform cost estimation and pricing activities while managing technical, commercial, and contractual risks.
• Prepare and participate in internal bid validation when required, and support contract negotiations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, then hand over winning bids to project execution teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in proposal or bid management, preferably in high-voltage equipment or the energy sector.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, related technologies, and market trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proficiency with proposal or bid management software and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• French, German, or Dutch language skills.
