Specialist, Software Engineering (React/.NET)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the Columbus, Ohio office; priority given to candidates residing in the Columbus, OH metropolitan area. Occasional collaboration across time zones is required. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Salary: Base pay of $110,300–$183,800 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop robust, scalable web applications with TypeScript, React, and/or .NET.
• Help implement Azure cloud solutions with senior engineers and architects.
• Build and maintain event-driven architecture and integrations.
• Translate complex business requirements into simple technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, pairing, agile ceremonies, technical planning, and design reviews.
• Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and predictable delivery.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software applications.
• Degree or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is accepted.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, and/or .NET.
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts.
• Effective use of AI tools in day-to-day development.
• Ability to own well-scoped work from refinement through production and raise questions early when requirements are unclear.
• Consistent follow-through, a collaborative approach to software development and problem solving, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience building healthcare applications, particularly EHR integrations.
• Experience with RPA technology.
• Knowledge of FHIR, SMART on FHIR integrations, and healthcare data exchange.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or another event streaming platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Contributions to open source projects or developer communities.
