Senior Software Engineer (.NET & React)

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $114,500–$194,700 USD per year in base pay

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and backend services with .NET, ASP.NET Core, and C#.
• Develop responsive React and TypeScript interfaces, reusable component libraries, and micro-frontends.
• Build secure, resilient, auditable, observable, and high-performance enterprise applications.
• Apply clean architecture, SOLID, DDD, CQRS, API-first design, cloud-native patterns, and automated testing.
• Contribute to CI/CD, code reviews, technical design documentation, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with architecture, product, DevOps, QA, platform, operations, and risk teams; support production systems and incident resolution.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, HTTP, and API security.
• Professional experience building React and TypeScript micro-frontends.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, cloud platforms preferably Azure, and Docker containerization.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, mocking frameworks, object-oriented design, clean code, and refactoring.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agentic AI SDLC and spec-driven development.
• Experience with event-driven and microservices architectures, Kafka, or other messaging technologies.
• Background in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, high-volume transaction processing, and distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
