Director, Legal (Vendor) - Maternity Cover (12 Month FTC)

What you will do

• Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on vendor agreements across global jurisdictions, including MSAs, SOWs, software licence agreements, SaaS agreements, engagement letters, and NDAs.
• Identify, assess, and escalate contractual risks with Vendor Management, Outsourcing, Data Protection, Legal, Information Security, and business stakeholders.
• Provide legal and regulatory guidance on outsourcing, operational resilience, third-party arrangements, contract remediation, and compliance monitoring.
• Manage vendor contracts through the full lifecycle, coordinating information, timelines, approvals, stakeholders, business teams, and external counsel.
• Advise operational, control, support, client-facing, senior management, and governance stakeholders on legal, regulatory, and contractual matters.
• Support strategic, regulatory, transformation, remediation, and governance projects related to vendor relationships and third-party risk.

Requirements

• Qualified English solicitor admitted to the Law Society of England and Wales and in good standing.
• At least 5–10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Broad commercial law experience.
• Strong understanding of the financial services environment and the legal and regulatory risks affecting vendor relationships.
