IT Developer

Location: Hybrid, with office attendance in Dudley twice a week. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

hirify.global is recruiting for a well-established law firm delivering legal services to businesses, individuals and professional clients.

What you will do

• Design, develop and enhance business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Configure and maintain VisualFiles applications, including case management workflows, document templates, forms and scripts.
• Build and maintain integrations between business applications, Microsoft 365, VisualFiles, Power Platform and external systems.
• Develop and support bespoke C# and .NET software, query and maintain SQL databases, and investigate data or performance issues.
• Diagnose application errors and integration failures, perform functional and technical testing, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Work with internal teams to document requirements, coordinate development and improvement projects, and maintain application availability, security and reliability.

Requirements

• Previous commercial experience in software development, business application development or technical support of business-critical systems.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Familiarity with VisualFiles or comparable case management, workflow automation or enterprise application software.
• Competence in SQL, including writing queries and working with relational databases.
• Understanding of application connectivity and data exchange, including APIs, REST services or Dataverse.
• Experience with C# and .NET, or transferable programming experience using a similar object-oriented technology.
• Ability to investigate technical issues involving application behaviour, database queries, data flows and system integrations.
• Knowledge of software testing, release management and safe implementation of application changes.
• Familiarity with version control systems, structured development practices and maintaining good-quality code.
• Confidence communicating with non-technical users, clarifying requirements, resolving system issues and explaining proposed changes.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to balance project delivery with ongoing application support and document technical work clearly.
