LCA & Environmental Data Specialist (f/m/d)

What you will do

• Establish life cycle assessment and environmental data capabilities for products, components, materials, and processes.
• Conduct and develop LCAs in accordance with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, including goal and scope definition, life cycle inventories, impact assessments, interpretation, and documentation.
• Collect environmental, operational, material, and supplier data with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Testing, and other stakeholders.
• Build structured and scalable environmental data processes that ensure quality, consistency, completeness, and traceability.
• Develop and maintain LCA models, datasets, and life cycle inventories in openLCA and relevant databases.
• Analyse environmental hotspots, support environmental requirements and KPIs, and collaborate with the Ecodesign Engineer on improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant technical, scientific, environmental, or data-related field, such as Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable discipline.
• Practical experience conducting LCAs according to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, with a strong understanding of goal and scope definition, Life Cycle Inventory, Life Cycle Impact Assessment, and results interpretation.
• Experience developing and maintaining LCA models and environmental datasets, including familiarity with LCA databases and primary, secondary, and supplier-specific data.
• Experience with openLCA or comparable LCA software.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess data quality, consistency, and traceability in complex and potentially incomplete datasets.
• Ability to independently collect and structure environmental data and collaborate across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Testing, and other relevant functions.
• Ability to communicate LCA results, environmental hotspots, assumptions, and improvement opportunities clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, a highly organized and structured working style, and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and German.
