Process Engineer (Industrial Simulation)

Location: Hybrid in Fornebu or Horten, Norway; flexibility to travel to customer sites when required.

What you will do

• Build, configure, validate and run dynamic process simulation models using K-Spice and LedaFlow.
• Integrate dynamic models with industrial control systems.
• Prepare and deliver simulators for engineering testing, design verification, virtual commissioning, operator training, real-time production monitoring and flow assurance.
• Work with customers and stakeholders to understand operations, translate requirements and provide technical advice.
• Own complete simulator deliveries or major work packages, coordinating activities across process, control and software disciplines.
• Support technical reviews, testing, troubleshooting, customer acceptance and improvements to simulation technology, tools and engineering practices.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation or another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Professional experience in process engineering, process operations, industrial automation, dynamic simulation or a related environment.
• Strong understanding of industrial processes and processing facilities.
• Ability to structure and solve complex technical problems and take ownership of technical deliverables.
• Experience working with customers or other technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering and software disciplines with a collaborative, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
• Fluency in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites when required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a process operator or first-hand knowledge of industrial processing facilities.
• Experience with dynamic process simulation, industrial control systems, energy operations or similar industrial environments.
• Interest or experience in Python, digitalisation, industrial AI, energy-transition technologies, or CO₂ capture, transportation and storage.
