Senior Concept Lead (Autonomous Maritime Systems)

What you will do

• Translate operational and market needs into credible concepts and decision-ready recommendations for undersea warfare.
• Develop and assess system architectures using existing hirify.global capabilities and selected new technologies.
• Identify capability gaps, interfaces, dependencies, resources and technical risks.
• Coordinate feasibility work, experiments and demonstrations across commercial, product, engineering and research teams.
• Transfer prioritised concepts into execution with clear scope and ownership, supporting roadmaps and customer dialogue.
• Close unsuitable initiatives and help move viable ideas from system models to sea trials.

Requirements

• Strong technical background, preferably a master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, technology or a related discipline.
• Experience with complex maritime, defence or autonomous systems.
• Ability to understand system architecture and evaluate interfaces, trade-offs and dependencies across engineering disciplines.
• Ability to lead cross-functional assessment and prioritisation, create structure from ambiguity, and support sound technical decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Pre-employment checks and security clearance are required in accordance with company security standards, role or site requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with naval operations, undersea warfare, anti-submarine warfare, mine warfare, maritime surveillance or defence technology.
