Senior Data Remediation Project Manager (Financial Services)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, and a valid working permit for the UK is mandatory.

What you will do

• Lead a large-scale data remediation programme in a regulated financial services environment.
• Consolidate multiple data-related workstreams into an integrated roadmap covering dependencies, milestones, risks, and governance.
• Coordinate delivery across business, data, technology, operations, and change teams.
• Engage senior stakeholders, including executive leadership, programme sponsors, risk, compliance, technology, and operations teams.
• Assess remediation impacts across systems, data architecture, operating models, controls, manual processes, data lineage, and data quality.
• Provide governance, reporting, documentation, risk and issue tracking, and identify AI and emerging technology opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading large-scale data remediation or regulatory remediation programmes within financial services.
• Strong project or programme management experience delivering complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders in highly visible and regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of data remediation methodologies, data quality management, and data governance principles.
• Experience working across business, technology, data, and operational teams.
• Good understanding of technology architecture, system landscapes, data flows, and remediation impacts.
• Ability to build and manage integrated delivery plans across multiple parallel workstreams.
• Experience managing programme risks, dependencies, governance forums, and regulatory scrutiny.
• Valid working permit for the UK and ability to work in English.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering customer remediation programmes in banking, lending, or retail financial services.
• Knowledge of regulatory remediation, customer data management, conduct risk, or operational risk frameworks.
• Experience with customer contact and claims remediation programmes, including PPI, complaints remediation, redress, or similar customer outcome initiatives.
• Understanding of AI use cases, automation opportunities, and advanced analytics in remediation and operational environments.
• Exposure to data lineage, data governance, and enterprise data management programmes.
