Product Manager Desktop Authentication RFID Readers (RFID)

Location: Cardiff, UK. Applicants must be currently and legally authorized to reside and work in the UK; international relocation and remote work outside the UK are not considered.

What you will do

• Manage the complete desktop RFID reader product-line lifecycle, including positioning, portfolio rationalization, end-of-life decisions, and strategic investments.
• Define product vision, multi-year roadmaps, KPIs, requirements, priorities, and business value for established and new products.
• Develop products for new markets within RFID authentication and drive technology, platform, and product reuse across IDT and PACS portfolios.
• Coordinate Engineering, Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product Owners, and global business leaders to execute product strategies and go-to-market plans.
• Lead market, customer, partner, competition, and technology-trend analysis; maintain executive-level customer relationships and support pre-sales activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, standards certifications, cybersecurity, intellectual property, product risks, and supply-chain continuity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a product manager or product owner delivering and deploying software, firmware, hardware products, or solutions to a factory.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with a software, firmware, or hardware background, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
• Ability to lead professionals through the product development and introduction cycle and to work autonomously within a cohesive team.
• Ability to understand complex technical situations, identify missing information, gather it independently, decompose problems into R&D, sales, support, production, and product-management subtasks, and delegate or complete required work.
• Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, adaptability, customer communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of smart-card readers, embedded systems, cryptography, and security practices.
• Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies including Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Lean, or DevOps.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with RFID technology, access control, and authentication.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification.
