Product Specialist (AI)

Location: Remote within the UK, with occasional travel to Basingstoke and client sites. Eligibility to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Own the specification process for a core AI product, creating detailed specifications and AI-assisted prototypes.
• Manage, groom, prioritise, and size the product backlog in Azure DevOps.
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria that support development, testing, and release.
• Create and maintain user guides, release notes, onboarding materials, and process documentation.
• Convert client feedback, user-group input, service tickets, and QBR outcomes into structured backlog items.
• Collaborate with Product, Delivery, Technical Leads, Engineering, and stakeholders across sprint ceremonies and go-to-market activities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing an Agile backlog and participating in sprint ceremonies.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
• Confidence using AI prototyping and requirements tools, including vibe-prototyping platforms.
• Structured, detail-focused approach to documentation and backlog management.
• Practical knowledge of GenAI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic AI.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Product Owner experience or CSPO/PSPO certification.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Boards or equivalent backlog tools.
• Experience creating working prototypes or specifications with AI and vibe-prototyping tools.
• Experience in local government or wider public-sector service delivery.
