Software Product Owner (IoT Device Applications)

What you will do

• Own and refine the product vision and roadmap for device-side software and embedded capabilities.
• Define, prioritise, and maintain a backlog covering customer features, technical enhancements, refactoring, platform improvements, and architecture work.
• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into technically informed epics, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria using Behaviour-Driven Development practices.
• Collaborate with firmware, embedded Linux, hardware, cloud, mobile, and data platform teams to coordinate system integration and end-to-end feature delivery.
• Lead technical discovery activities including proof-of-concept builds, protocol evaluations, and integration testing.
• Support Agile ceremonies, user acceptance testing, release planning, and field deployments while ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a similar field.
• Strong experience delivering end-to-end IoT devices across embedded systems, industrial hardware, and device-focused software.
• Deep knowledge of Linux-based, embedded, and real-time environments, including boot flows, hardware-software interactions, diagnostics, observability, and OTA updates.
• Expertise in IoT protocols including MQTT, CoAP, TCP/IP, BLE, LoRa, Wi-Fi, and cellular.
• Experience collaborating with specialist engineering teams and managing technical dependencies, critical paths, system constraints, and integration risks across multiple projects.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical details to engineering, product, leadership, customer, and operations audiences.
