Engineering Manager (DevOps)

What you will do

• Lead the Site Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering teams, owning their roadmaps, priorities, commitments, and delivery outcomes.
• Manage and develop DevOps engineers through hiring, performance reviews, career development, team structure, and promotion input.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across infrastructure architecture, production troubleshooting, reliability, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Drive incident management, postmortems, SLOs, observability, capacity planning, and the systematic elimination of recurring operational problems.
• Evolve the engineering platform through Kubernetes, GCP, CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, automation, security, and developer self-service.
• Improve infrastructure efficiency by optimizing resource utilization, cloud costs, delivery processes, and engineering productivity.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering teams while combining technical leadership, delivery ownership, and people management.
• Deep hands-on production experience at Senior, Lead, or Staff level with DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, Compute Engine, networking, IAM, DNS, load balancing, and cloud cost optimization.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise covering architecture, networking, ingress, storage, autoscaling, security, cluster lifecycle, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong production experience with Terraform or Terragrunt, Helm, CI/CD, GitOps, distributed systems, incident response, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK.
• Experience with high-load real-time platforms, SRE and Platform Engineering practices, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, Kafka, PostgreSQL or AlloyDB, Redis, and FinOps initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience in iGaming, product companies, or fast-growing scale-ups.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or developer self-service capabilities.
• Previous experience as a Staff or Principal DevOps Engineer, SRE, Platform Engineer, or Infrastructure Architect.
