Staff Data Scientist, Dmarts - Quick Commerce

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid working model with face-to-face collaboration at the Berlin campus 2 days a week

What you will do

• Develop, test, and productionize forecasting algorithms using machine learning, statistical inference, and optimization models.
• Own model and architecture design for ML projects and act as the technical leader within the domain.
• Set ML best practices and standards across multiple squads and drive their adoption.
• Review data scientists’ work and mentor data scientists in the domain.
• Work with product and engineering leads to define squad vision and goals.
• Identify technologies and opportunities to improve forecasting and operations systems for stakeholders.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Data Science designing robust end-to-end data workflows, including at least 5 years of experience with forecasting techniques or optimization.
• Experience owning the full data science lifecycle for production models: design, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience setting ML best practices and driving adoption across multiple squads.
• Solid programming skills in Python and Docker, plus experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and with LLMs.
• Ability to build consensus among stakeholders and data scientists, lead without formal authority, and communicate results clearly in English to technical and non-technical audiences.
