PSL Lead Architect (d/f/m) E2E Planning and Logistics (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Hamburg Area, Germany; work at the Hamburg production site with mobile working, flexible working hours, part-time options, job sharing, and sabbatical opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, orchestrate, and govern architecture for major transversal projects across enterprise architecture, product lines, business capability planning, SAP core processes, and application design.
• Guide the modernization of SAP ERP landscapes toward SAP S/4HANA and SAP cloud environments across hybrid ecosystems including AWS Cloud, Palantir Foundry, MuleSoft APIs, and on-premise industrial solutions.
• Design data-driven architectures, semantic layers, and AI/ML capabilities for automated forecasting, supply-chain optimization, and real-time operational visibility.
• Establish scalable and secure API-first, event-driven, and real-time data-streaming integration patterns between SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Coordinate technical roadmaps, manage technical debt and obsolescence risks, conduct architecture reviews, and map end-to-end processes and system topologies using ArchiMate, UML, and BPMN.
• Align international business and IT stakeholders, explain complex architecture concepts in business terms, and foster a community of practice around hybrid SAP integration and AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Informatics, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven enterprise, solutions, or integration architecture experience designing complex, large-scale software portfolios.
• Strong coordination and leadership skills in transnational, multifunctional teams using Agile or Scaled Agile frameworks.
• Strong functional and conceptual understanding of end-to-end planning, logistics, and supply-chain processes, with experience in SAP ERP ecosystems such as S/4HANA, legacy SAP landscapes, PP/DS, MM, SD, or EWM.
• Deep technical knowledge of AWS, MuleSoft, SAP BTP/Integration Suite, modern API gateways and ESBs, event brokers, and hybrid-cloud integration strategies.
• Understanding of data engineering, data-platform architectures such as Palantir Foundry, data lakes, or data meshes, and integration of AI/ML models into transactional and decision-support systems.
• Proficiency in ArchiMate, UML, and BPMN modeling standards.
• Exceptional stakeholder-management and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical, integration, and SAP topologies into clear business impacts.
• Experience building architectural roadmaps, managing technical debt, and balancing innovation with risk mitigation.
• Advanced English proficiency.
