Sr Principal Engineer - Test Development and Automation (ATE Automation)

What you will do

• Define and develop automated ATE test solutions and test program generation tools for new product development engineers.
• Develop reusable Test Method Libraries and standardize test methodologies across products and ATE platforms.
• Build automation for differentiated test flows and insertions across Automotive, Commercial, and Industrial market segments.
• Extend automation across testers, peripherals, communications, and data-transfer layers.
• Maintain and improve existing utilities, standard test method libraries, and ATE automation code.
• Support product development teams and coordinate automation requirements with ATE vendors, BU PE, and Design teams.

Requirements

• BSEE, BSCS, or BSCE with more than 20 years of Product/Test experience, or an MSEE with at least 5 years of experience.
• At least 10 years of direct experience with Test Program Generation automation across multiple ATE platforms.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with agentic AI systems, including LLM-based agents, tool use, and multi-agent workflows.
• Experience working with ATE platforms and understanding of ATE system architecture, including V93K, ETS, T2K, and IFlex.
• Proficiency in multiple ATE software coding languages, including C#, C++, Python, and Java.
• Demonstrated experience driving ATE automation for test code generation and reuse.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for working with cross-functional teams.
