Backend Software Engineers (Java)

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with two days per week in the Shoreditch office.

What you will do

• Build and evolve backend services and infrastructure to support continued growth.
• Develop and deliver product features for consumers and partner businesses.
• Refine, design, implement, deliver, and maintain an international product.
• Participate actively in agile development and continuous improvement within a cross-functional product team.
• Maintain high standards of quality, maintainability, scalability, and sustainability.
• Take on additional responsibilities and expand technical skills with team support.

Requirements

• Extensive backend development experience in the Java ecosystem.
• Proven production experience with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, message systems, and Git.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and Clean or Hexagonal Architecture.
• Knowledge of AWS services including SQS, SNS, and S3; Elasticsearch; Redis; Docker; and Kubernetes.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and scalable solutions.
• Willingness to participate actively in a cross-functional product team.
• Commitment to writing high-quality code.
• Ability to submit a CV and cover letter in English through the company platform.
