Senior DevOps Engineer (Terraform)

What you will do

• Work on large-scale, multi-industry, eCommerce, and enterprise software development projects using DevOps and Terraform.
• Champion software quality and technical vision for AND and its clients.
• Inspire and support junior and mid-level engineers by developing their DevOps and engineering capabilities.
• Provide virtual and physical environments for development, QA, staging, pre-production, and live systems, including data and external application integrations.
• Keep current with industry trends and share technical ideas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in DevOps, Terraform, and developer roles within an agile context.
• Expertise in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
• Passion for technology, coding, and building elegant solutions.
• Understanding of system administration across operating systems such as Linux, CoreOS, and Windows; application stacks such as nginx, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Hybris, IIS, .NET, Node.js, and Solr; and RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MS SQL.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and Riak, plus containerisation and microservices technologies such as Docker and rkt.
• Understanding of IaaS and PaaS technologies such as AWS, OpenStack, Deis, Kubernetes, Mesos, and Rancher.
• Experience with programming and scripting using Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code and configuring monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sensu, Icinga, Nagios, Zabbix, or Unicentre.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and DNS.
• Experience creating and working with development pipelines using Git, Jenkins, TFS, SonarQube, GoCD, Maven, Ant, NPM, or Artifactory.
• Knowledge of agile development environments and implementing DevOps best practices and methodologies.
• Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues and peers.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience leading collaboration between IT operations hirify.global delivery teams.
• Experience in a professional services or client-facing environment, including working with one or multiple clients.
• Strong project management skills and a creative approach to DevOps practices.
