Mobile Developer (React Native)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid, with up to 4 days working from home. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Salary: £60,000–£75,000 per year; £75,000 dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of significant features in the React Native app, including scoping, directing the build, testing, shipping, and iteration.
• Direct AI-assisted development and focus on user experience, platform feel, and product decisions.
• Build natural experiences for both iOS and Android.
• Monitor the live app, maintain stability, and manage weekly App Store and Google Play releases.
• Define success metrics, analyse feature performance after release, and bring data-backed findings to product and design discussions.
• Identify technical debt and improvements while shaping future mobile work, including consumer monetisation and lettings.

Requirements

• Commercial experience building and shipping production apps with React Native and TypeScript on both iOS and Android.
• AI-native working approach, including fluent use of tools such as Claude Code, with the ability to explain and take ownership of generated output.
• Strong product and design sense, with a user-focused approach to how products feel and work.
• High quality standards; shipped work must be tested, solid, and thoroughly considered.
• Experience looking after a live app, including stability, monitoring, and releases.
• Ability to work independently with loose guidelines and communicate confidently, sharing ideas and challenging decisions in discussions.

• Experience using analytics to measure features and inform future product decisions.
