Senior Project and Release Manager (eCommerce)

Location: Hybrid role based in Katowice or Poznań, Poland; office attendance averages four days per week.

Salary: 150–200 PLN net per hour for B2B cooperation.

What you will do

• Manage complex technical projects using Agile, Incremental, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Oversee releases across pre-production and production environments, including dependencies between client systems and release pipeline reporting.
• Identify technical risks and issues, recommend mitigation options, and implement technical governance aligned with client needs.
• Coordinate internal technical specialists, third-party vendors, environments, and client technical resources.
• Define, plan, organize, and manage new infrastructure environments and coordinate high-quality technical solutions within deadlines.
• Manage stakeholder communication, technical meetings, client expectations, team objectives, and support for Junior Technical Project Managers.

Requirements

• Project management experience, ideally including eCommerce experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to read log files, draw conclusions, and direct further technical investigation.
• Experience working with eCommerce frameworks and hosting solutions.
• Understanding of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, plus familiarity with Azure and AWS DevOps tooling.
• Ability to define, manage, and deliver customer expectations within strict deadlines.
• Full knowledge of the project lifecycle and experience with Agile, Incremental, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Comfort working with complex technical environments and legacy systems integration, including managing third parties.
• Strong time-management, organizational, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive issues tactfully and diplomatically.
• Relevant project management qualifications, proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent English.

Nice to have

• BA/BS degree in information management, marketing, communications, business, or a closely related field.
• Developer background or programming qualification.
• Understanding of Jenkins or other release pipeline tools.
• Experience with code management tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or SVN.
• Basic understanding of Terraform sufficient to engage with technical teams.
