Senior Project Manager / Project Manager (ICT, Integration, Data Centre Construction)

What you will do

• Manage data centre developers and colocation providers through Early Facility Access, Integrated Systems Testing, Ready for Service, and operational handover milestones.
• Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of IT infrastructure integration across large-scale data centre construction and fitout projects.
• Manage interfaces between base building construction, electrical and mechanical services, network infrastructure, and IT deployment.
• Coordinate rack and server deployment, equipment start-up, testing, commissioning, inspections, readiness assessments, and fault resolution.
• Manage technical submissions, installation requirements, project risks, programme dependencies, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Lead handover planning, documentation, punch list close-out, and client acceptance while supporting safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Trade, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, with supervisory or project delivery experience.
• 2–3 years of experience delivering data centre, colocation, or mission-critical infrastructure projects, or a strong technical background in electrical, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure with an interest in transitioning into the data centre sector.
• Experience with electrical and low-voltage systems, including telecommunications, fibre networks, security, BMS, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating contractors, specialist vendors, and project stakeholders through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure deployment, including rack and server installation, structured cabling, fibre networks, and equipment commissioning, or transferable technical experience.
• Familiarity with EFA, IST, RFS, and operational handover milestones, or the ability to develop this knowledge.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, construction programmes, and commissioning documentation while managing technical interfaces and project dependencies.
• Strong project management, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of construction safety, quality assurance, and client operational requirements, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients and project teams through open communication.

Nice to have

• Previous data centre experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Relevant electrical, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, or technical project delivery experience with an interest in transitioning into the data centre sector.
