Engineering Manager (AI/ML)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; telecommuting from a home office is available within commuting distance of the hirify.global headquarters. Up to 10% domestic U.S. travel per year is required for leadership training and corporate events.

Salary: $214,386 per year; incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Oversee and direct the technical execution of software and data engineering teams, supervising Software Developers, Business Intelligence Analysts, and Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers.
• Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to translate business needs into technical solutions and data products.
• Establish and improve coding, documentation, testing, peer review, release, architecture, platform integration, and technology standards.
• Lead SDLC and agile practices, improve engineering processes, and resolve technical dependencies, operational issues, process gaps, and cross-team impediments.
• Ensure product and platform quality, reliability, performance, operational readiness, monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML solutions, standardize development tools, and mentor engineers through coaching, feedback, reviews, and upskilling plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a software development or engineering occupation.
• At least 60 months of experience performing data analysis and validation with complex T-SQL/SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, triggers, and primary/foreign-key constraints.
• At least 60 months of experience designing and developing ETL solutions with SQL Server Integration Services, including advanced transformations and control-flow automation.
• At least 60 months of experience deploying and supporting production ETL processes, including SSIS package configurations, event handlers, checkpoints, logging, operational troubleshooting, and error handling.
• At least 60 months of experience automating ETL scheduling and batch workflows with Automic/UC4 jobs, job plans, event triggers, and file transfer automation.
• At least 60 months of experience developing data movement solutions across heterogeneous sources and formats using SSIS, BCP, Bulk Insert, or DTS; integrating Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server; and ingesting flat files, Excel, CSV, and XML.
• Experience may be gained concurrently.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Key Vault, AI/ML, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Pulumi, data quality frameworks, Medallion Architecture, data modeling, Power BI, and SSIS.
