Leader of AI & Data Platforms (Manufacturing)

Location: Fully on-site in Chandler, Arizona or Hollister, California; U.S. citizenship is required for employment.

Salary: $130,200–$241,800 per year.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and sustain production AI and data solutions that improve productivity and business decision-making.
• Lead technical architecture, data readiness, and implementation support for the Palantir Foundry initiative.
• Establish enterprise data warehousing, stewardship, lifecycle management, ownership, access controls, lineage, and auditability.
• Lead and coach a small team across data engineering, architecture, Power BI, and Power Platform development.
• Develop production-grade pipelines, transformations, data models, ontologies, integrations, and self-service data products.
• Partner with manufacturing specialists on SCADA/OT integrations, anomaly detection, dashboards, operational signals, and measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required because of U.S. Government contract requirements and export-control obligations.
• At least 5 years of experience in analytics, data platforms, AI enablement, or data governance with hands-on delivery.
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting production AI and data solutions, including production-grade pipelines and operational safeguards.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark, with experience in data modeling, orchestration, and observability.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise data governance, stewardship, or lifecycle management.
• Ability to lead technical work, coach colleagues, influence executives, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palantir Foundry pipelines, ontology, and application development.
• Background in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries, including ITAR, FAR/DFARS, DCAA, CUI, or FedRAMP environments.
• Knowledge of SCADA/OT, ERP, MES, PLM, and manufacturing execution workflows.
• Experience delivering AI or data capabilities in a startup or resource-constrained environment.
• Familiarity with Lean principles and structured problem solving.
