What you will do

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of a new enterprise data warehouse in AWS.
• Design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data solutions for massive datasets.
• Select and implement AWS services including Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and EMR Serverless, together with Parquet and Iceberg data formats.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and professional guidance to the Data Engineering team.
• Collaborate with development teams, Data Scientists, and end users to define requirements and deliver Data and AI solutions.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Several years of experience as a Data Architect, with a strong Data Engineering background focused on Python and Spark.
• Deep expertise in planning and designing AWS cloud environments and using Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR or EMR Serverless, and RDS.
• Experience designing complex data pipelines with Airflow or Step Functions, and microservices architectures based on Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in large-scale analytical data structures, partition optimization, and building Data Lakes or data warehouses with Parquet and Iceberg.
• Experience integrating data solutions with QuickSight, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning platforms and experience designing architectures supporting GenAI and Prompt Engineering solutions.
• Initiative, independence, strong leadership, teamwork, self-learning ability, and high analytical skills.
• Successful completion of a computerized reliability test, security interview, and polygraph test.
