Senior Software Architect, AI Products (AI/SaaS): Architecting and delivering secure, scalable AI-powered security products and shared capabilities across SaaS and on-premises deployments with an accent on distributed systems, data platforms, backend services, and AI orchestration. Focus on designing resilient systems with strong security, isolation, observability, recovery, and operational controls while guiding implementation from proofs of concept through production.

What you will do
- Define and drive the architecture of AI-powered products and shared AI capabilities across SaaS and on-premises deployments.
- Design scalable backend services, APIs, data pipelines, data models, storage solutions, and web-based AI experiences.
- Lead architectural decisions across data ingestion, processing, retrieval, model integration, AI orchestration, and product integration.
- Design systems with controls for scalability, backpressure, bounded resource usage, resilience, data integrity, recovery, observability, security, isolation, permissions, and auditability.
- Evaluate technologies, conduct proofs of concept, review designs and implementations, and guide engineers through complex technical decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, research, platform, and architecture teams to balance delivery speed, customer value, technical risk, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and building large-scale or distributed production backend systems.
- Strong hands-on backend development experience, preferably with Python and Go.
- Experience designing scalable APIs, services, data pipelines, data-processing systems, cloud architectures, and storage solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, distributed systems, networking, modern deployment practices, reliability, security, observability, and recovery.
- Experience designing products for both SaaS and on-premises deployments, including modern web technologies such as React, TypeScript or JavaScript, and npm.
- Excellent communication, technical documentation, system-design, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills; a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience building AI, machine learning, analytics, cybersecurity, cloud security, DevSecOps, or other data-intensive products.
- Understanding of LLM-based architectures, including model integration, retrieval, tool execution, orchestration, and evaluation.
- Experience with vector search, high-volume or near-real-time data pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Experience supporting AI capabilities in restricted, disconnected, or resource-constrained on-premises environments.
