Product Manager Airspace & Autonomy (Autonomous Drones)

Location: San Francisco, CA, US

Base salary: $193,800–$285,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product strategy, architecture, roadmap, and investment priorities for hirify.global Air's safety-critical software, services, platform infrastructure, and aircraft integrations.
• Integrate drone delivery into the hirify.global marketplace, connecting merchant readiness, dispatch, routing, customer promises, delivery-zone eligibility, aircraft availability, weather, and operational constraints.
• Lead product direction for autonomy, mission planning, path and motion planning, contingency handling, detect-and-avoid, vehicle health, payload handling, landing, delivery, and remote assistance.
• Develop the roadmap from one operator supervising one aircraft toward increasingly autonomous multi-aircraft operations, including fleet orchestration, exception management, and human-autonomy interfaces.
• Define data, UTM, airspace-management, regulatory-compliance, standards, and interoperability capabilities for scalable drone delivery operations.
• Establish success metrics, make build-versus-buy and partnership decisions, develop business cases, and shape the technical organization required to scale operations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management, technical product leadership, systems leadership, or related experience with complex software or cyber-physical platforms.
• 5+ years of experience in autonomous systems, robotics, UAS, aviation technology, safety-critical systems, or another highly regulated real-world operating environment.
• Track record of taking technically complex products from concept or prototype through validation, deployment, and operational scale.
• Experience spanning embedded or vehicle software, cloud services, APIs, data infrastructure, operational applications, and hardware integration.
• Technical fluency in autonomous-system concepts, distributed and real-time systems, mission-critical reliability, UTM, airspace management, geospatial data, and fleet operations.
• Experience with FAA-regulated environments, including Part 107, Part 135, Part 108, BVLOS approvals, UTM or USS services, and autonomous-flight regulations.
