Senior Decision Scientist, Trust & Safety

Location: Berlin, Germany. Hybrid work with two recommended office days per week; remote workations are permitted for limited periods in the EU and globally.

Annual gross salary: €74,000–€100,100.

What you will do

• Partner with product teams and stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Detect and investigate fraud patterns and harmful or inappropriate activity within the marketplace.
• Design, run, and analyse experiments using statistical methods and visualisation tools.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators, investigate issues, and identify root causes.
• Build self-service dashboards that help teams independently use data for business insights.
• Promote best practices in analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Decision Science or Data Analytics.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Practical experience with SQL and Python for data analytics.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of A/B testing, regression analysis, and other inferential statistical methods.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in Trust & Safety or fraud-related work.
• Previous experience working in product teams.
