Data Scientist (m/f/d) (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid role based in Munich, Germany. Employees may work fully from the office or partially from home and the office. Relocation support is available for moves to Munich from more than 300 km away.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and improve pricing algorithms to maximize revenue, occupancy, and long-term profitability.
• Build and evaluate statistical models and machine learning algorithms for complex business problems.
• Quantify uncertainty, estimate business impact, and provide reliable recommendations.
• Design experiments and evaluation frameworks for products, pricing strategies, and business initiatives.
• Analyze large datasets to identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and customer experience enhancements.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Product, Engineering, BI, and Data Engineering to productionize, deploy, and monitor models.

Requirements

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field, plus 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of probability theory, statistical inference, regression, Bayesian statistics, experimentation, causal inference, and predictive modeling.
• Experience developing, validating, and improving machine learning models in business environments.
• Strong Python programming and modeling skills, experience with modern data science libraries, and excellent SQL skills.
• Experience working with large analytical datasets and evaluating business initiatives with statistical rigor.
• Fluent English and strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
