Principal Frontend Software Development Engineer (Frontend)

Location: Remote anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City for occasional office events

What you will do

• Define and evolve front-end architecture, patterns, coding standards, and best practices for secure, performant, maintainable web experiences.
• Lead the design and delivery of complex, consumer-facing features and scalable UI systems from concept through launch.
• Partner with product, design, back-end, and data teams to shape roadmaps and translate customer problems into technical strategies.
• Set quality standards for testing, accessibility, reliability, and operational excellence across multiple squads.
• Coach and mentor senior and staff engineers while building technical leadership capacity.
• Evaluate modern front-end technologies, frameworks, and tooling to improve developer productivity, site performance, and customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications.
• Significant experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript front-end frameworks.
• Experience leading complex, high-visibility front-end initiatives across multiple teams.
• Proven ability to influence architecture, standards, and technical direction for large-scale web experiences.
• Experience mentoring engineers, working in cloud environments, and collaborating with back-end, data, and product teams.
