Azure DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Base salary: $112,000–$168,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Build, configure, and support secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure for enterprise applications, data platforms, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and implement DevSecOps practices, including automated security scanning, policy enforcement, secrets management, and compliance monitoring.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or comparable technologies, along with reusable automation and deployment guardrails.
• Implement identity, access, network security, vulnerability management, cloud governance, monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices.
• Support Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI, and related Azure services used to develop and deploy AI-powered applications and agents.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, deployment, integration, and security issues; perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with engineering, security, architecture, and business teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, cloud operations, and production workloads in Azure.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable CI/CD technologies, including building, maintaining, or improving delivery pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent technologies.
• Working knowledge of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, privileged access, secrets management, encryption, network security, vulnerability remediation, and automated security controls in delivery pipelines.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, incident resolution, platform reliability, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across engineering, security, architecture, and business teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, or related AI platform technologies.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or generative AI platforms.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or another regulated or security-conscious environment.
• Microsoft Azure certification such as Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, or a comparable credential.
• Experience contributing to shared engineering standards, reusable automation, or platform capabilities used by multiple teams.
