Principal Software Development Engineer (Enterprise Finance)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $150,500–$214,500 per year base pay, with potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end Finance solutions covering Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Tax, and Intercompany Accounting.
• Translate Finance requirements into functional, technical, integration, and data specifications for SAP S/4HANA and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders, Product Owners, architects, engineering teams, integration specialists, and implementation partners.
• Lead Finance data migration, validation, reconciliation, testing, business acceptance, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization.
• Identify and implement AI-driven automation across Finance processes, integrating ERP systems, enterprise data platforms, APIs, and workflow technologies.
• Drive solution decisions, process harmonization, issue resolution, and alignment across global and regional stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise Finance technology solutions, ERP implementations, and Finance transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong knowledge of Finance processes, ERP architecture, system integrations, and financial data management.
• Experience leading data migration, reconciliation, testing, and quality assurance for large-scale ERP programs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills across application, integration, data, and workflow layers.
• Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or CPA is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI, large language models, agentic AI, tool-calling architectures, or retrieval-augmented generation.
• Experience with AI evaluation, automated quality testing, governance, guardrails, human-in-the-loop workflows, model observability, and enterprise AI security.
