IT Systems Administrator (Okta/AI)

Location: Remote; work location is flexible if approved by hirify.global.

Base salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own Okta as the identity and provisioning control plane, including SSO, SCIM, group rules, authentication policies, MFA, Device Trust, and admin role scoping.
• Design and maintain RBAC, birthright access, time-bound access, automated revocation, service-account governance, and recurring access reviews.
• Build production automations with n8n, Okta Workflows, ticketing workflows, REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and JSON across HRIS, identity, ticketing, collaboration, and business applications.
• Automate employee onboarding, role changes, leaves, and offboarding with reliable triggers, approvals, provisioning, revocation, and audit trails.
• Own MDM and device security across macOS and Windows, including enrollment, compliance, patching, application deployment, encryption, and device trust.
• Administer Zoom Workplace, Zoom Phone, Notion, 1Password, Torii, ticketing systems, AI tools, and SaaS access while supporting security, SOC 2 evidence, reporting, and operational improvements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT engineering in a SaaS-first remote company.
• Deep hands-on Okta administration experience, including SSO, SCIM, Workflows, Device Trust, group rules, attribute mapping, and authentication policies.
• Experience managing MDM for both macOS and Windows, including Iru, Kandji, Jamf, or Intune, ABM/ADE, Autopilot, compliance policies, and application deployment.
• Experience building automations and integrations with n8n, Okta Workflows, Zapier, Make, or Workato using REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON.
• Hands-on experience with governed AI integrations using Anthropic/OpenAI APIs, MCP connectors, or AI agents, with least-privilege access, data protection, logging, and human oversight.
• Strong knowledge of RBAC, least privilege, joiner/mover/leaver processes, SOC 2-aligned controls, HR/People Ops collaboration, and clear technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Okta, Notion, Apple, Microsoft Endpoint, Jamf, Kandji/Iru, Google Workspace, Zoom Phone, or security certifications.
• Experience with Intercom, Rippling, Ashby, Torii, Material Security, Salesforce, RevOps systems, scripting, data modeling, or dashboards.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 audits and evidence collection.
