Software Engineer II - Growth (Java)

Location: United States; remote-first

Salary: $110,500–$156,000 USD annually, depending on geographic zone.

What you will do

• Build software for the Growth — Activation and Expansion team.
• Develop solutions for customer acquisition, activation, onboarding, and adoption across hirify.global products.
• Design and implement complex distributed systems and scalable SaaS applications.
• Build and operate AWS-based services using ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, and Kinesis.
• Collaborate across feature teams and with product managers.
• Use generative AI by designing prompts, evaluating outputs, and integrating LLMs into engineering workflows.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience with Java in large business platforms.
• Experience with robust, highly scalable, and performant distributed systems and SaaS applications.
• Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
• Experience with Gradle and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
