Transportation Industrial Design Intern (Powersports)

Location: Medina, Minnesota, USA; onsite five days a week

Salary: $19.50–$30.75 per hour

hirify.global is a powersports manufacturer developing off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, boats, electric vehicles, and related products for customers in more than 100 countries.

What you will do

• Sketch and execute original transportation design concepts based on segment research, customer expectations, and brand DNA.
• Present concepts and design stories to peers, design management, and hirify.global leadership during weekly critiques.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, manufacturing, clay modelers, and digital modelers.
• Create digital design assets using software provided by the hirify.global Design Department.
• Develop selected themes toward production intent and document feedback, next steps, and actions.

Requirements

• Must work onsite five days per week in Medina, Minnesota.
• Must be a U.S. person and must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field at a recognized design school.
• A design portfolio is required for consideration.
• At least one year of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency with Blender, Gravity Sketch, Keyshot, Alias, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Nice to have

• Powersports experience.
• Peer-review experience.
