ICP-MS Pre-Sales Application Scientist

Location: hirify.global Center of Excellence office in Wood Dale, Illinois, with up to 50% travel throughout the United States

Salary: $105,075–$175,125 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales technical and application support in competitive sales situations.
• Perform sample analyses and customer demonstrations using ICP-MS and ICP-QQQ systems.
• Deliver technical presentations at seminars, conferences, symposiums, and e-seminars.
• Provide phone and on-site post-sales support to ICP-MS users, including systems used in 21CFR-compliant environments.
• Work with product specialists and account managers to develop technical sales strategies and train the sales force.
• Develop application notes and peer-reviewed publications, and report technical trends from the field.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree.
• At least 3 years of experience operating ICP-MS or ICP-QQQ systems.
• Experience with ultra-trace metals analysis and ICP-MS methods based on EPA, FDA, USP, ASTM, or AOAC standards.
• Knowledge of ICP-MS applications in environmental, specialty chemicals, semiconductor, advanced materials, food, or life science markets.
• Strong technical writing, oral presentation, computer, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Availability for flexible schedules, office-based work in Wood Dale, Illinois, and up to 50% business travel throughout the United States.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of elemental speciation.
• Familiarity with atomic absorption, MP-AES, and ICP-OES.
