Applied AI Product Engineer

Location: Remote within the continental United States; listed location is Columbus, OH.

hirify.global is developing AI solutions for a federal government healthcare modernization project through its EZLabs AI innovation division.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI-powered features for patient engagement, care coordination, claims management, and operational efficiency.
• Use Claude Code and related AI development tools to build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain full-stack software products.
• Develop APIs, backend services, automation pipelines, and LLM integrations.
• Translate product requirements into scalable, user-focused solutions with product managers, designers, engineers, and clinical stakeholders.
• Apply software engineering, DevOps, and MLOps practices to testing, deployment, monitoring, security, and performance optimization.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and implementation approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 1–4 years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or full-stack application development.
• Hands-on proficiency using Claude Code to develop functional software products, implement features, debug code, and validate results.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or comparable programming languages, including frontend components, backend services, and APIs.
• Experience integrating LLMs through APIs, prompt engineering, AI agents, generative AI workflows, or retrieval-augmented generation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills for independent work in a remote Agile environment.
• U.S. citizenship, successful completion of a background check, and ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Cursor, Codex, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience deploying AI applications or supporting healthcare, payer/provider, federal government, or Department of Veterans Affairs initiatives.
