Software Development Engineer I (AI)

Location: Boise, United States; hybrid and remote work arrangements are available.

hirify.global builds software for institutional investors and is developing a Generative AI engineering team focused on production AI systems.

What you will do

• Build and maintain production LLM agent pipelines, MCP integrations, and retrieval-augmented generation systems.
• Develop AI-powered applications using Python, FastAPI, LangChain, TypeScript, and React.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, for code generation, debugging, and iteration.
• Analyze software issues, propose architectural improvements, and improve application scalability, reliability, and security.
• Translate loosely defined requirements into production-ready code and contribute to user stories and project estimates.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and broad unit and integration testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of production software development experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLM, agentic, or AI/ML systems in production or near-production environments.
• Daily fluency with AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude Code, is required.
• Production proficiency in Python 3.11 with FastAPI and LangChain, plus TypeScript and React.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, teamwork, communication, analytical problem-solving, and technical documentation.
