Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C. 20036, with four days onsite and one remote day per week

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure compute, networking, storage, and database services.
• Configure Virtual Cloud Networks, subnets, gateways, and load balancers for mission-critical applications.
• Implement cloud security practices aligned with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Monitor performance, optimize cloud costs, maintain high availability, and troubleshoot complex OCI issues.
• Collaborate with security, development, and operations teams on cloud migrations and enterprise modernization.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least two years with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of OCI compute, storage, IAM, networking, and database services.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible, plus experience with cloud security, compliance, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with Oracle Kubernetes Engine and Docker, with the ability to support mission-critical federal systems.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect or related OCI certification.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments integrating OCI with on-premises systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks.
• Experience supporting the Department of State or other federal civilian agencies.
• Knowledge of federal IT security standards and accreditation processes.
