OCI Platform Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $130,000–$148,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate large-scale OCI cloud environments.
• Design landing zones and implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
• Lead workload migrations and ongoing platform operations.
• Support Oracle and non-Oracle workloads, including Kubernetes and database services.
• Implement observability, incident response, security, and cost optimization practices.
• Partner with database, application, and security teams to deliver resilient cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of cloud engineering experience with strong hands-on OCI experience; the position lists 6+ years of overall experience.
• Production experience with Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with OCI compute, networking, storage, identity, database services, and Oracle Kubernetes Engine.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, IAM, compliance, observability, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional certification.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud or Autonomous Database at scale.
• Exposure to multi-cloud architectures across OCI and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with FinOps and regulated workloads on OCI.
