Senior Applications Engineer (Lithography/Metrology)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. The role includes up to 10% travel for training and cross-site support.

What you will do

• Lead system-performance technical escalations and drive containment and resolution for customer on-product issues.
• Participate in new-system introductions and high-volume manufacturing node transitions.
• Own project workstreams, develop execution plans, and provide progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Translate customer issues into lithography or on-product metrology problem statements and resolve them through experiments and data analysis.
• Prepare technical presentations, support new users, assist sales, and define customer requirements for existing or evaluation products.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and collaborate with project leads, equipment peers, and customers.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in a technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience and 8 years in an IC manufacturing environment with lithography or on-product metrology experience; high-end DUV or EUV experience is preferred.
• At least 5 years of data analysis experience using MATLAB or Python, including analyzing and presenting technical findings.
• At least 5 years of stakeholder and change management experience, plus at least 3 years using project management methodologies.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, interpersonal, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology in the United States before beginning work.
