Dir, Accounting (AdTech)

What you will do

• Lead Accounting and accounting operations through month-end close, including journal entries, revenue and cost recording, balance sheet reconciliations, and close-process improvements.
• Mentor, coach, and lead the Accounting team, including supporting career development and managing remote work.
• Lead the annual audit and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Coordinate U.S. GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and external reporting deliverables.
• Research and document accounting guidance for equity, share-based compensation, leases, revenue recognition, and business combinations; prepare accounting memos and assess new standards and SEC reporting rules.
• Own the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial statement accuracy while partnering with FP&A on forecasts and using AI tools and automation to improve processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• 4+ years of experience managing an accounting team, including remote work management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and an active CPA license.
• Ability to communicate financial results and accounting implications to stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, establish deadlines with management, work independently, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Understanding of internal controls and experience creating process documentation.
• Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar large language models to improve efficiency.
• Collaboration and decision-making that prioritize equity, access, continuous learning, and inclusive, respectful environments.
