Simulation and Infrastructure Support Administrator (VMware/Cisco)

What you will do

• Maintain the operational readiness of power plant simulation environments, classroom training spaces, and multiple training laboratories.
• Reconfigure classroom setups, manage cabling and network connections, and prepare hardware for staging, testing, and customer deployments.
• Perform system testing, resets, infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and validation of training simulators and classroom technology.
• Support field instructors by configuring and validating portable training systems before deployment to customer sites.
• Manage inventory, logistics, maintenance, and deployment readiness for training equipment and networking components.
• Assist with virtualization, server administration, migrations, backups, storage management, network documentation, and platform maintenance.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience supporting Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
• Proficiency with basic Cisco IOS commands, physical patch panels, Layer 2 VLAN structures, loopback testing, ping testing, and switch MAC address tables.
• Experience administering VMware ESXi virtual machines; willingness to learn Proxmox bare-metal hypervisors.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues for non-technical users by phone under time constraints.
• Basic exposure to PLCs, Profibus/Profinet, SCADA/ICS concepts, or Omnivise-T3000 administration.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
