Software Development Engineer - Product Reliability Engineering

Location: US - Denver, CO; at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel. hirify.global is not offering relocation assistance or immigration support.

What you will do

• Design and ship automation for deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, release orchestration, validation, rollback, and reporting.
• Write production-grade Python and supporting tools in Go or Bash to reduce manual operational work.
• Support relational database platforms through schema design, patching, upgrades, backups, recovery, performance tuning, and replication monitoring.
• Build AI-powered engineering assistants and integrate LLMs into observability, incident response, deployment, and environment-management workflows.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and metrics with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK, contributing to self-healing, auto-scaling, and incident prevention.
• Support secure, compliant, high-availability infrastructure and participate in Agile delivery, documentation, and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Foundations in data structures, algorithms, systems design, complexity, trade-offs, and failure modes.
• Proficiency in Python and comfort with at least one additional language such as Go, Java, or Bash.
• Understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modeling, query optimization, Linux/Unix environments, cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD.
• Curiosity about GenAI platforms and agentic systems; intellectual interest in this area is required.
• Must work from the Denver office at least 3 days per week; immigration support is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, Liquibase, or database CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with observability tools, database administration, performance tuning, backups, recovery, or replication monitoring.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Project or academic experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Knowledge of DNS, load balancing, service mesh, TCP/IP, or open-source development.
