What you will do

• Develop and conduct transmission planning studies, including steady-state, short-circuit, and dynamic stability analyses.
• Perform generator interconnection studies, including Sub-Synchronous Resonance analyses when required.
• Analyze renewable and storage resource interconnections against Voltage Ride-Through requirements.
• Conduct NERC compliance analyses, including TPL-001-4 Annual Planning Assessments.
• Participate in ERCOT working groups and case-building activities on behalf of clients.
• Prepare technical reports, maintain study data, and deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a power systems emphasis is preferred.
• 2–4+ years of experience as a power systems engineer.
• Experience with dynamic stability, load flow, steady-state, and short-circuit studies.
• Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.
• Experience with programming or automation in Python.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
